CWO Jack talks about the gyro

Ok, so a couple weeks ago, my Cousin Christy sent me this thing called a Dynaflex Ball. It is a little, green hard plastic ball that is used for therapy and exercise purposes. I had seen them before, but had never really used them. I did hear, however, that they are great. So, it arrives in the mail. The problem is that I had to take a trip for a couple of days. When I get back, I take it out and immediately start using it. No big deal, right. Wrong! This little thing is amazing.

So I did what every other Officer in the Corps would do and played with it a little longer before passing it off to the guys. It was so funny how just this little ball could cause so much fun and amazement and actually take us away from the thoughts we were having just a few moments ago.

The guys were hooked. We started having contests to see who could do it the longest and even came up with different exercises with it. When the higher ups would come in, they would see my guys standing around to be the next to join in. (Keep in mind, most of this is going on in the Command Operations Center where we are stuck for a week at a time.)

The DynaFlex is incredible!!! If you haven’t tried it, do! I still can’t believe it. Don’t get me wrong, it certainly doesn’t take away from all of the great packages that I have received, but I will tell you, fun little chaotic moments, like the ones the ball causes, I live for! The guys are all trying to order more and want to shout out to Christy and Wanda to say thank you!!!! We will get some pictures to you when I can find a computer that doesn’t take three days to download them. Take Care!

We received the Power Balls and they are the greatest. I will tell you the story…

So I had to take the guys to an out-post for a while so we weren’t there when they arrived. When we got back they were in the room and the guys just went crazy. I have always prided myself by doing good things for the men. Their response was absolutely priceless! I only wish that I captured it on camera. Here we are, grown men, and it was just like Christmas. We were all dirty and most of them would rather use the Dyna-Flex than take a shower right away. Classic in every way.

We have distributed the balls throughout, and we are working on getting pictures. While we have been here, we have even become great friends with some members of the Italian Army, so I will send some picture of them too. I will take it global!
